All.together at St Giles

Why all.together? It’s an opportunity for all age groups to look at the big picture. Purpose and values. Right and wrong. Relationships. The joys and struggles of everyday living. Faith. Knowing God. Christianity. Church. To look at the relevance Christianity has in our everyday lives from the point of view of different age groups.

When we say all.together! we mean everyone of all ages, children and adults. Singles, couples, and families. Worshipping, learning and growing together. Discovering that Church is relevant for everyone - whatever their age and experience.

All.together is a short, lively and enjoyable church service. It lasts 40-50 minutes and is immediately followed by refreshments with opportunity to relax, chat and meet with others. It consists of three parts.

Worship

† Easy to follow service pattern.
† Songs for both adults and children.
† Contemporary styles of music.
† Times of quiet reflection and prayer.

Learning

† Interactive, challenging and fun ways of learning for all who are young at heart.

† Quizzes, drama, games or multimedia presentations, as well as a short sermon.

† Seeks to engage children in the learning process,
rather than just keep them quiet.

† Aims to be both accessible to children and relevant to adults.

 Fellowship

† Refreshments with coffee and doughnuts, or tea and cake, or
juice and biscuits, or any other combination!

† Toys and play-area for young children.

† Chance to meet people, have a chat or just chill out.

 Give it a go

If you haven’t been to church for a while, or perhaps have never been on a regular basis, then this might be a good place to start. Those who are used to church may find this new service a refreshing experience too.  So come along and give it a go!
