Special Services

There is something for everyone at St Giles. Whether you prefer a traditional service or a lively informal type of worship we aim to  have something to suit all tastes.

8.15am Holy Communion

A quiet, said traditional Holy Communion Service using the rich liturgy of Anglican Common Worship or the Book of Common Prayer.

9.30am Parish Communion

The Parish Communion Service on the 1st & 3rd Sundays has traditional hymns and choir.  Families are most welcome to this service and there are toys and activities for children.

9.30am All.together!

Every 2nd Sunday of the month at 9.30am is All.together! a lively and informal service for all ages with music from our music group. A lively 45 minute time of worship and learning.

9.30am Together Communion for All

Every 4th Sunday is Together Communion for All. This more informal Holy Communion service welcomes you and all your family from babies to great grandparents. There are activities in the hall during this service for under 10′s which includes cartoons, crafts and stories.

2.30pm Messy Church

Once a month ‘Messy Church’ invites everyone, not just children, to join in the celebration, crafts and food. For dates in 2010 see messy church

6.30pm Choral Evensong

We are one of the few churches left in this area to sing Choral Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer. Do join us at this beautiful worship service.

6.30pm Holy Communion with Healing Ministry

Every 2nd Sunday Evening there is a Holy Communion Service which includes Healing Ministry. Healing Minisry means that there is an opportunity for you to be prayed with in private by members of the healing ministry team.

10.30am Thursday Holy Communion

Every Thursday morning there is a Holy communion service in the side chapel following the Book of Common Prayer. On the first Thursday or every month the service is followed by refreshments in the hall and transport can be arranged contact us
