Hello from St Giles Bramhope! Just a few lines to let
you know what’s happening over the coming weeks:-

will now take place during August.
Weather permitting we are hoping to have some sand and water to play with.
Usually the session is just attended by under 5’s and their carers but if
your under 5 has an older sibling bring them with you. If you would just let
me know in advance how many older ones and their ages will be attending we
will have activities for them as well. September

continues during the summer and we look forward to seeing
those of you who are not on holiday. We will have our very own blend of
lively and informal worship happening at

not been to church for a
long time? Want to attend a service but feel unsure what happens, whether
there will be a welcome, don’t know where to start and it’s been too long?
On
28 September 2008 we are taking
part in
Back to Church Sunday.
It’s a chance to attend church for the first time or the first
time for a long time and to invite a friend. You can be assured of a warm
welcome and an opportunity to worship God. There will be provision for
children to join in with the service and their own activities.

Look out for your free magazine through the door. St Giles
magazine is delivering a special issue free to every household in Bramhope.
It’s got some great stories from our congregation about their faith and our
ALPHA
course which starts on 1 October. Alpha is a course for those who want to
know more about Christianity. Forget about a dusty, dry course and think
social evening with drinks and canapés to start followed by a DVD and a
chance to work through all those questions that you’ve never had the chance
to ask – Does God exist? Who is Jesus? What’s the real evidence? Is there
life after death? What we won’t be able to answer is next week’s lottery
numbers or whether Leeds United will get promotion.
